Community Living Options

Some seniors and adults with disabilities may be able to remain in the community with the appropriate support services, home adaptations and assistive devices.

Community Living Options are designed to enable seniors and adults with disabilities to live in a less restrictive community based environment or in their own home.

Home adaptations include modifications such as ramps, safety bars or widened doorways. Assistive devices include tub benches, reachers, or alerting systems. Home and community support includes services such as personal care assistants, homemakers, home health aides, Meals on Wheels or an emergency response system.
