The Ocean State Center for Independent Living is a consumer controlled, community based, nonprofit organization established to provide a range of independent living services to enhance quality of life and promote community integration for Rhode Islanders with disabilities. Services include:

• Home Modification and Assistive Technology Programs
• Benefits Planning
• Deaf Services including Citizenship, Training and Driver Education, Training for the Deaf, and Smoke Detector Program
• Housing Program, including HomeChoice ä Mortgage Initiative
• Nursing Home Transition Program
• Peer Support

PARI Independent Living Center 

PARI is a non-profit consumer direct independent living and resource center. Dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities by removing attitudinal and architectural barriers, and by providing direct services, peer counseling and information. Services include:

• Information and Referral
• Advocacy
• Independent Living Assessment of Needs and Skills Training
• Nursing Home Transition Program
• Habilitation Waiver Program
• Personal Care Assistant Programs
• Home Modification and Assistive Technology Program
• PAAT Program (PARI Affordable Assistive Technology Program)
• The Gift of Hearing Program
