Arthritis affects nearly 40 million Americans, or one in seven people. While arthritis causes chronic pain and loss of movement, there are many ways to help people with arthritis lead comfortable, fulfilling lives.

The Arthritis Foundation, Southern New England Chapter, 2348 Post Road, Suite 104, Warwick, RI 02886 offers a number of programs and services which people with arthritis may utilize including:

· People with Arthritis Can Exercise (PACE)
· Aquatics Program located at various pools across Rhode Island
· Self-Help classes
· Fybromyalgia Support Groups
· Arthritis Support Groups
· Information and Referral (including physician referral)
· Speakers Bureau
· Childhood Arthritis
· Financial Assistance
· Membership.
