A CEDARR Family Center is a “one-stop” place where you can get information and support to make the best decisions for your child. If you think your child has a physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional problem that you are concerned about, CEDARR Family Centers can help you get answers to your questions and help you get the services that you need. Even if your child is already receiving other services, CEDARR Family Centers can be a resource to you and your child. CEDARR Family Centers are staffed by people who have experience as caregivers for children with special health care needs.
CEDARR stands for (C) Comprehensive, (E) Evaluation, (D) Diagnosis, (A) Assessment, (R) Referall, (R) Re-evaluation.
Services that are offered are:
- Basic services and supports (system navigation, special needs information and family support
- An initial family assessment and family care plan
- Coordination with your child’s school and any other program your child may be in
- Staff can help locate clinical specialists and other services in your community
- Crisis intervention services are available if needed
All children and families are eligible for CEDARR, which is offered statewide. CEDARR services can be paid for by your health insurance plan, the Medical Assistance Program, or by payment plan depending on your situation.
