SSI Assisted Living Program

Program Description:

People who need to reside in an Assisted Living Facility may qualify for an enhanced Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment. Under this program, the State provides funding in addition to the regular SSI payment, up to a total of $1094 each month.

Qualifications:

People who have income below approximately $1100/month and who need to reside in an Assisted Living Facility.

To Apply

A case manager from the Department of Elderly Affairs conducts a screening of interested individuals and assists in the application process.

Title XX Homemaker Program

This program is available for people who are receiving cash assistance on the Supplemental Security Income, General Public Assistance, or Family Independence Program who do not qualify for a Home and Community-Based Waiver. Covered benefits include homemaker and or personal care assistance. For more information, contact your nearest DHS Long Term Care office found in the yellow section (Tab VI).
